Grout Release+ is a highly effective, easy to use, temporary, non-sealer type, pre-grout coating to help protect against grout, mortar and adhesive staining during installation and help simplify the grout clean up process. Ideal for when using dark or contrasting grout to help minimise grout staining of the surface. 

HOW DOES IT WORK: 

Helps stop grout from bonding to the surface. Creates a temporary film over the porous or textured surface to help minimise grout staining especially if using dark or contrasting coloured grouts. Makes the grout clean up process easier and helps minimise grout haze.

WORKS ON: 

For rough, textured and porous surfaces including all natural stone like basalt, bluestone, granite, limestone, marble, quartzite, sandstone, slate, travertine etc plus porcelain tiles, encaustic tiles, terrazzo, concrete, pavers, saltillo and other surfaces. For domestic, commercial, indoor and outdoor use. 

TEST FIRST: 

Always test first in an inconspicuous area or on a spare tile to determine ease of application, the dwell time required to achieve the slip resistance you are happy with, colour and surface look stability and overall desired results. User must determine suitability for their use.

PRECAUTIONS: 

1. Read entire label, SDS and technical bulletin before using;  
2. Use when surface temperature is between 4°C and 28°C; 
3. Do NOT allow contact with any non-recommended surfaces;
4. Do not saturate the open grout joints.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS: 

1. Wear protective gloves, eye, skin and foot protection when using;
2. Do NOT breathe fumes, vapours or spray – wear appropriate mask;   
3. No contact with skin. Causes skin irritation. Do NOT kneel in product. 

WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE YOU START:

1. Protective gloves, eye, skin and foot protection;
2. Plastic bucket plus clean string mop, paint pad, sponge, applicator, brush or heavy-textured paint roller to apply the product;  
3. Hose or separate bucket & mop plus plenty of clean water for rinsing;
4. XtremeClean+ to help remove any Grout Release+ residue

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Use XtremeClean+ or StoneWash+ as per label instructions to ensure a clean, dry surface before starting.

HOW TO USE: 

1. Sweep, vacuum or wipe tiles for a clean, dry surface;
2. Apply an even coat of Grout Release+ over the entire surface using a string mop, paint pad, sponge, applicator, brush or heavy-textured paint roller. Ensure 100% coverage. 
3. Allow a minimum of 30 minutes drying time for Grout Release+ before grouting. When coating is no longer tacky then the grouting can begin;
4. Follow grout manufacturer’s instructions for grouting process. Grout Release+ residue should be removed from the surface through normal grout clean-up process.
5. If any excess Grout Release+ residue remains on surface, use XtremeClean+ as per label instructions to remove.
6. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

LIMITATIONS:

• Very porous or textured surfaces may require a pre-seal coat of an appropriate Sealers Plus Sealer before applying Grout Release+ especially when using dark or contrasting grout;
• Proper grouting and grout clean up procedures should be used to help minimise grout, mortar and adhesive staining.

COVERAGE: 

Approx 10-80 m2 per 4 litres depending on the density, porosity, texture and absorption of the surface. Also weather conditions, the application method and number of coats required. As a guide per 4 litres, see below table. Full coverage chart at www.sealersplus.com.au

HANDLING, STORAGE AND CLEAN UP:

• Close container tightly after each use & keep upright
• Store in original container between 4°C and 32°C, locked up and in a well ventilated cool area & protect from sunlight
• Shelf life is approx 3 years in unopened container-less after opening. Storage beyond that time does not necessarily mean the product is not usable.  Do a small test area first
• Do not re-use container. Discard in rubbish
• Clean tools & clothing with water before they dry 

WASH UNDERSIDE OF SHOES BEFORE STEPPING ONTO OTHER AREAS.

FIRST AID: 

For advice, contact a Poisons Information Centre (Phone 131- 126) or a doctor. If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Immediately give at least 3-4 glasses of water. If in eyes, hold eyelids apart and flush the eye continuously with running water. Continue flushing until advised to stop by the Poisons Information centre or a Doctor, or for at least 15 minutes. If skin or hair contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and flush skin and hair with running water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately.
