DESCRIPTION

Grip-It T For Tiles is a Professional Grade anti-slip treatment to create a permanent slip resistant micro-texture on the glaze of the tile. It is NOT a sealer or a coating. It will not peel or wear off or go yellow. Makes wet, slippery, surfaces safer e.g. bathrooms, kitchens, lounge rooms, swimming pool areas, balconies, living areas, main entrances, corridors etc

HOW DOES IT WORK?

It works by micro-etching the glaze of the tile. The longer it is allowed to dwell on the surface, the more micro-texture it creates, the more slip resistance is created. It is a permanent treatment.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST FOR?

It lasts for the lifespan of the treated tile surface. Grip-It T For Tiles is a Professional Grade permanent treatment to create a slip resistant micro-texture on the tile surface. It works on the glaze of the tile surface to create the micro-texture to make the surface slip-resistant. It is NOT a sealer or a coating. It will NOT peel or wear off. The longer you leave it on the surface, the more slip-resistant the surface becomes.

Use in domestic, commercial, indoor and outdoor areas. For homes, supermarkets, airports, hotels, building foyers, retail stores, kitchens, restaurants, bars etc

COVERAGE:

Approx 10-15m² per 1 litre.  Will vary depending on the amount of anti-slip that is required and the properties of the tile.

• 1 LITRE (Between $4.60 - $6.90 per m2)

NOT SUITABLE FOR:

Does not work on concrete, wood, vinyl natural stone (e.g marble, limestone, travertine, basalt, bluestone, sandstone etc)

TEST FIRST:

Always test first in an inconspicuous area to determine ease of application, dwell time, colour stability & desired results. User must determine suitability for their use.

PRECAUTIONS:

1. Read entire label, SDS and technical bulletin before using;
2. Use when surface temperature is between 4°C and 28°C;
3. DO NOT POUR DIRECTLY FROM BOTTLE ONTO THE SURFACE;
4. Do NOT allow product to come in contact with any polished or acid sensitive or non-recommended surfaces;
5. Do not pour in metal containers or mix with other chemicals;
6. May affect dark tiles, dark grouts, metal and polished surfaces;
7. Depending on how much anti-slip micro-texture is created, some dark coloured tiles can lighten in colour and polished porcelain will start to lose it’s polished finish going from polished to satin to matt.

WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE YOU START:

1.  Protective gloves, eye, skin & foot protection and a watch for timing;
2. XtremeClean+ or Stone Wash+ to clean & prepare the surface;
3. Plastic buckets plus clean sponge, roller or mop to apply the product;
4. Hose or separate bucket & mop plus plenty of clean water for rinsing;
5. TIP: Use a wet vac to help remove Grip-It T from the tile surface before rinsing with clean water;

SURFACE PREPARATION:

Use XtremeClean+ or StoneWash+ as per label to ensure a clean, dry surface before starting.

HOW TO USE:

1.  Sweep, vacuum or wipe tiles for a clean, dry surface;
2. Pour Grip-It T for Tiles into a PLASTIC paint tray, bucket or container;
3. Carefully apply Grip-It T for Tiles evenly to tile surface with a suitable clean sponge, roller or mop – DO NOT SPRAY;
4. Allow to dwell initially for about 5 minutes -“the dwell period”;
5. After the 5 minute “dwell period”, test the amount of slip resistance created by using your shoe or a gloved hand in a scuffing/rubbing motion in the standing solution and make sure you keep track of the “dwell time”;
6. If you are happy with the slip resistance created, rinse thoroughly with clean water (TIP: Use a wet vac to remove Grip-It T before rinsing)
7. NOTE: If more slip resistance is required, leave the product on the surface longer and keep testing the amount of slip resistance created every 5 minutes as per STEP 5 until you achieve the desired result;
8. Repeat the process as necessary to achieve your desired slip resistance;.
9. DO NOT ALLOW PRODUCT TO DRY ON THE SURFACE – ADD MORE PRODUCT TO KEEP IT WET AND ACTIVE ON THE SURFACE;

LIMITATIONS:

Slip resistance will be affected if treated surface is not cleaned and maintained regularly.

MAINTENANCE:

After successfully treating the surface, use these products to ensure the slip resistance is properly maintained.
• EzyClean+ for routine, everyday cleaning;
• XtremeClean+ for periodic heavy duty cleaning;

NOTE: To reduce soiling and staining plus ease ongoing maintenance, seal treated surface with Aqua-Seal Gold+

SAFETY DIRECTIONS: CORROSIVE

1. Wear protective gloves, eye and skin protection when using.
2. Remove metal jewellery before using – corrosive to metals;
3. Do NOT breathe fumes, mist, vapours or spray;
4. TOXIC – Do NOT eat, drink or smoke when using ;
5. Avoid all contact with skin & eyes. Do NOT kneel in product.
6. May cause blindness and burns.
7. Burns might not be immediately painful or visible.
8. Obtain calcium gluconate gel to neutralise if on skin.
